Unleash the Flavor: Tips for Brewing Herbal Tea
Experience blends that promote calmness, refreshment, and overall well-being for every cup you enjoy.
General Guidelines
Unlike some delicate teas that require lower temperatures, herbal teas typically benefit from hotter water or longer brewing times to fully unleash their flavors and beneficial properties
Brewing in a Cup or Teapot
Measure: Use 1-2 teaspoons of your herbal tea blend per 250 ml (1 cup) of boiling water.
Infuse: Place the tea leaves in your tea infuser and then place the infuser into your cup.
Brew: Pour boiling water over the infuser and let it steep for 5-10 minutes.
Remove: Take out the infuser and discard the used tea leaves.
Enjoy: Sweeten to taste, if desired, and enjoy your soothing herbal tea.
Sweeten with honey or sweetener of your choice.
Optional:
Use approximately one teaspoon of loose-leaf herbal tea per 250 ml of water. Adjust the quantity based on your taste preference after your first brew.
Brewing on the Stove
Fill a pot with fresh, cold water.
Add Faith & Love's loose tea leaves directly to the pot or use a tea infuser
Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
Once boiling, reduce the heat, cover, and let the tea simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Tea color and strength may vary depending on the amount of tea leaves used, the water volume, and the brewing time.

Tea Bags:
Tighten the tea bag's string to secure it.
Use 1 tea bag per 250 ml (1 cup) of boiling water.
Place the tea bag in your cup and pour boiling water over it.
Let the tea bag steep for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the tea bag and discard it.
Hot Brew:
Cold Brew:
Measure: For each 1 liter of water, use 1-2 tablespoons of loose herbal tea or 3-4 tea bags.
Combine: Place the herbal tea (loose tea in an infuser or tea bags) into a large pitcher or container.
Add Water: Pour cold or room temperature water over the tea.
Steep: Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator. Let it steep for 6-12 hours, depending on your desired strength.
Strain: If using loose tea, remove the infuser. If using tea bags, simply remove the bags.
Serve: Pour your cold brew herbal tea over ice and enjoy. Sweeten to taste, if desired.
For a refreshing twist, try adding slices of lemon, fresh mint, or a splash of fruit juice before serving.
Try these tea Blends for Cold Brewing:
Cold brewing is a wonderful method for many herbal teas, but it's true that it's not ideal for every type. Some herbal teas that work great for cold brewing include peppermint, chamomile, hibiscus, and rooibos. These teas tend to release their flavors well even in cold water.
However, there are some herbs that may not yield a satisfying flavor when cold-brewed, or their beneficial properties might not be fully released. For example, denser or woodier herbs like Burdock, Licorice root, valerian root or some types of ginsengs might require hot water to effectively draw out their characteristics.
